Aston Martin has revealed the first prototype of the DBX crossover. Now the car testing on the track in North Wales, where the stage of the world rally championship. The market launch of models scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2019.

For DBX has developed a special program sea trials, which were preceded by an intensive simulation tests. The crossover will ride on the polygons of the Arctic circle, the deserts of the Middle East, Alpine passes, autobahns of Germany and, of course, the Nurburgring. In the mandatory program — check off-road and towing capabilities.

The basis of the Aston Martin DBX will form a new platform. It will also be used for electric models of the brand Lagonda. Crossover will retain a hybrid installation, as a concept, but apart from that, the model will be the traditional petrol units: twin-turbo “eight” Mercedes-AMG with a capacity of about 600 forces and 750-horsepower V12 engine. The model will be camera side view like Audi e-tron and Lesux ES new generation.

The main competitors of the Aston Martin DBX will be the Lamborghini Urus and the yet to be presented to Ferrari Purosangue. Planned sales of crossover — five thousand copies a year. The production model will establish the new company’s factory in Saint Athanasios, South Wales.
