Honda introduced the European market the “sport” modification of the crossover HR-V. It has got a turbo engine, which is also placed on the Civic, Accord and CR-V.
Crossover HR-V Sport is equipped with a 1.5-liter “four”, which provides 180 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with either a six-speed “mechanics”, or CVT, available as an option. In the latter case, the efficiency of the engine remains the same, but the torque decreases to 220 Nm.
Dynamic specs are not disclosed. Previously, the most powerful HR-V in Europe was the version with a 130-strong aspirated 1.5: with “pen” such a car is gaining “hundred” in 10.2 seconds, while the version with the continuously variable transmission reaches the same mark by 0.7 seconds longer.
A sporty version of the crossover has received a retuned suspension and new dampers, a different configuration of electric power steering, led headlights, 18-inch wheels, dual exhaust pipes, and other seats with black and red trim.
As previously reported, turbocharged HR-V will sell in the spring.
