Skoda company registered in the Czech patent office new name — Kosmiq. Follow the example of the names of previous models, it can be assumed that this will be a crossover — or rather, the commercial version of the concept car Vision X, presented in March at the Geneva motor show.
According to the website Auto.cz Skoda Kosmiq will be built on the platform MQB A0, the underlying Seat Arona, Volkswagen T-Cross and the coming Skoda Scala. Gamma engines of the SUV will consist of the already known from other models of Volkswagen turbo TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines. All-wheel drive, similar to the T-Cross, Kosmiq will not.
Conceptual Skoda Vision X equipped with 1.5-liter “turboservice” that runs on methane or gasoline, and outstanding 130 forces, as well as two electric motors. One of them is connected to the internal combustion engine, a second, 30-strong, is mounted on the rear axle and provides the all-wheel drive system. They eat from the lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.5 kilowatt-hours.
Urban crossover is able to travel on electric only two kilometers. The total maximum travel distance of 650 kilometers. From a place to hundred kilometers per hour Vision X accelerates in 9.3 seconds. The maximum speed is 200 kilometers per hour.
