Porsche has unveiled the open version of the new 911 — 911 Cabriolet. The model will be available in two variants — the Carrera S and Carrera 4S, with a soft top, equipped with the magnesium arches, to prevent swelling at high speeds, and a hydraulic actuator, a spreading top in just 12 seconds.
RWD Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet and Carrera 4S all-wheel drive equipped with three-liter supercharged “opposition” power of 450 HP. Box is the same as the coupe: a new eight-speed “robot” with two clutches. The Carrera S accelerates to “hundred” for 3,9 seconds (with Sport Chrono package in 3.7 seconds), and Carrera 4S, the figure is 3.8 (3,6) of a second. Maximum speed — 306 and 304 kilometers per hour, respectively.
For the first time for a convertible Porsche 911 offered adaptive suspension Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with shorter and stiffer springs, reinforced stabilizers and lowered by 10 mm ground clearance. In addition, the 911 Cabriolet has received a “wet” mode of operation of the control electronics Wet Mode, which opens the air valve to generate more downforce, changing the algorithm of operation of the engine, and in the case of Carrera 4S all-wheel drive. The system analyzes the intensity of the beating of the water in the wheel arches and may recommend to the driver to activate the appropriate profile in the settings.
In the list of available equipment of the Porsche 911 Cabriolet includes Parking assistant, night vision system with a thermal imager, travel planner Road Trip virtual round-the-clock Concierge 360+ and the calculator emissions Impact Porsche. It can be used to calculate the individual CO2 emissions and transfer money to landscaping or the construction of solar power plants to compensate for its influence.
